Exercice 1 :

• 3x - 4y = -29 (1)

• 2x + 3y = 9 (2)

Par addition (1) + (2) :

• 3x + 2x - 4y + 3y = -29 + 9

• 5x - y = -20

• -y = -20 - 5x

• y = 20 + 5x

Donc si on prend (2) et on remplace y par 20 + 5x on arrive à isoler x :

• 2x + 3(20 + 5x) = 9

• 2x + 60 + 15x = 9

• 17x = -51

• x = -51/17= -3

Donc on remplace x par -3 dans (1) ppur trouver y

• 3 × (-3) - 4y = -29

• -9 - 4y = -29

• -4y = -20

• y = -20/(-4) = 5

Donc y = 5 et x = -3

Exercice 2 :

• 5x + y = 13 (1)

• x - 3y = 9 (2)

On multiplie (2) par 5 :

• 5(x - 3y) = 9 × 5

• 5x - 15y = 45

Donc on a :

• 5x + y = 13 (1)

• 5x - 15y = 45 (2)

Par substitution (1) - (2) :

• 5x - 5x + y - (-15y) = 13 - 45

• y + 15y = -32

• 16y = -32

• y = -32/16 = -2

Donc on remplace y par -2 dans (1) pour isoler x :

• 5x - 2 = 13

• 5x = 15

• x = 15/5 = 3

Donc y = -2 et x = 3
